The production of dildos involves multiple steps, from material selection to production process, each link requires refined operation to ensure the quality and user experience of the final product.
The main dildo materials on the market include silicone and TPE (thermoplastic elastomer), each with its own characteristics:
•Silicone material: high temperature resistance, not easy to deform, environmentally friendly and non-toxic, high elasticity and simulation, but relatively hard.
•TPE material: softer, feel close to human skin, good ductility, but not as durable and high temperature resistance as silicone.
In addition, internal filling materials such as liquid silicone, medical grade gel or polymer materials may also be involved to enhance the realism of the feel.
1. Mold making
•First use 3D modeling software to design the shape and size of the dildo, and finely adjust the texture, blood vessels, glans details, etc. to improve the simulation.
•Use 3D printing or CNC engraving technology to make prototypes, usually using hard resin or metal as mold materials.
• After polishing and finishing, silicone or TPE mold is made.
2. Injection molding or perfusion molding
Silicone products:
• Liquid silicone is prepared and an appropriate amount of colorant is added to make it close to real skin color.
• Two-component silicone (component A+B) is mixed and degassed in a vacuum environment to reduce the generation of bubbles.
• The mixed silicone is poured into the mold and placed in a baking oven for vulcanization (usually above 150°C).
• After the silicone is cured, it is removed from the mold and the edges are trimmed.
TPE products:
• TPE particles are melted at high temperature, injected into a metal mold, and molded by injection molding.
• After molding, the mold is cooled and the excess corners are trimmed.
• Blood vessel texture and color gradient of the penis head are added by spraying or manual coloring to improve the sense of reality.
• Use special coatings to increase skin feel, such as flocking or silicone oil coating, to make it smoother and softer.
• High-end products will add a bendable metal skeleton inside to enhance plasticity.
• Some products are equipped with micro motors to achieve vibration or heating functions.
• Conduct softness, elasticity, and tear resistance tests to ensure product durability.
• Use vacuum sterilization or ultraviolet disinfection to ensure safety and hygiene.
• When packaging, it is usually equipped with accessories such as lubricants, storage bags or chargers to enhance user experience.
